How to Take Email With You
Need to have access to your email at any time, but don't want to carry around a laptop?
There is an easy way. Carry Thunderbird on a USB drive. You simply plug the USB drive into a computer, fire up Thunderbird and away you go.

Thunderbird is a free email client from the Mozilla Foundation and is widely regarded as an excellent alternative to Outlook. Did you also know that there is a portable version as well?
Download from Portable Thunderbird - it is a 7Mb download. It does need 25Mb of space installed and you will need space for all the email that you get. I suggest that a minimum size USB drive is 1Gb.
Plug in your USB stick, install the program to the USB drive and you are ready to go.
Need a calendar function as well? Then add portable Sunbird to the mix. Easy.

If you are using this method as a supplement to your 'home' email setup, you will want to make sure that you check the server setting to ensure that you leave a copy of the incoming mail on the server for a few days.
Portable Thunderbird is one of a suite of programs that can be run from a USB drive. It is a small matter to have to locate the executable file to run it.
